TIME4CS @ the OPEN SCIENCE FAIR

The 4th Open Science Fair Conference took place in Madrid, from the 25th to the 27th September, as an initiative of OpenAIRE and FECYT. TIME4CS took part in the event with a poster, named “Driving institutional changes in Research Performing Organizations to support CS”, illustrating the project’s background, concept and main findings so far.

In a stimulating context aimed at bringing together and empowering open science communities and services, as well as bringing experiences from all around the world to learn from each other, with more than 350 attendees from more than 60 countries. TIME4CS once again gained a great success, arousing the interest of the community as a success story in the field of Open Science and Citizen Science.

The ambition to move towards an Open Science modular ecosystem has been one of the key messages coming out from the opening panel discussion of the event.

“Citizen Science can be considered as one of the elements of such modularity, and that’s exactly what TIME4CS has been working on in the last 3 years” believes Alessio Livio Spero, TIME4CS Coordinator.

The presentation gathered then tens of people, interested in the methodology, its replicability, the case study analysis and its outcomes, as well as recommendations for other potential “Implementers” out there.

Another incredible success for the project, which never fails to amaze with its results, and which knows no bounds in terms of community involvement and interest, from the ECSA Conference 2022 to the CSA Conference 2023, now also the OS Fair 2023.

A further step towards the project's legacy has been taken, looking forward to the final conference on 1st November in Twente.
