Role in the project

TIME4CS Team

ZSI – Centre for Social Innovation is a private non-profit institute for applied social sciences based in Vienna (Austria).

ZSI implements research and application projects on the social embedding and impact of all types of innovations and contributes to the design and diffusion of socially accepted and sustainable innovations to meet global challenges.

The activities of the Centre are concentrated on thematic priorities concerning the transformation to the Information Society. Studies and practical intervention projects address European and global issues of fundamental social, political and economic relevance and are grouped in the following three areas:

  • Work and equal opportunities

  • Technology and knowledge

  • International Research Policies

Our role is to lead the evaluation and impact assessment of the project. We will jointly assess with the project partners the progress of implemented Institutional Changes in the participating organisations. This evaluation will also support TIME4CS understanding on mutual learning effects between Front-Runners and Implementers of the project.

Based on the experiences made from the project’s evaluation activities and including latest insights from related research and innovation, we will also work on a set of indicators to assess Institutional Change to promote citizens engagement in science. Thus we will provide RPOs and RFOs with a monitoring toolkit to self-assess and monitor their progress towards organizational change.
